Our mission

To help one million children use AI safely by 2030.

AI is reshaping how children learn, create and communicate, faster than any technology before it, and the pupils in school today will spend their whole lives alongside it. We believe every one of them deserves to understand how it works, to use it wisely and honestly, and to stay safe doing it, so they can thrive in a world shaped by AI rather than be caught out by it. Curio exists to make that learning fun, measurable and within reach of every school.

Why this matters

Your pupils are already using AI

AI is now part of everyday childhood, from homework helpers and chatbots to fake images in their feeds. For schools the question is no longer whether to address it, but how.

50%
of 8 to 17 year olds in the UK now use AI tools, increasingly for schoolwork.

Yet most are never taught how AI works, when to trust it, or how to spot a fake.

That gap is exactly what Curio is built to close.

What the guidance says Ofsted does not inspect AI tools themselves. It looks at how a school's approach to technology affects safeguarding and the quality of education, and holds leaders responsible for it. Online safety is already a statutory part of safeguarding under Keeping Children Safe in Education, and the DfE encourages schools to help pupils use technology safely and well. Building pupils' AI literacy sits squarely inside that responsibility.

The modules

A fun course that teaches something real

This is what your pupils experience. Short, bright, animated modules they enjoy, that genuinely teach how AI works, how to use it confidently and how to stay safe. Here is a taste of what they actually do.
